Every culture in the world should have a weird and interesting thing. In Turkey that thing is the annual Camel fighting festival held in Selcuk (3rd Sunday in January).
As with all sports that involve animals this event is debated among animal welfare activists but it’s hard to argue with nature, and at the end of the day this event is about the Camel’s natural inclination to fight for the right to mate.
