SamsungVoice: Closing The Gender Gap In STEM Education

Meera Petroff’s earliest memories of “doing science” happened during a second-grade field trip to a local water treatment plant. Now a college freshman, Petroff’s journey from wide-eyed elementary student to college computer and electrical engineering major is a perfect example of how encouraging young female students to get involved with STEM benefits not only the students themselves, but society as a whole.
