Michael Mullins, a die-hard Red Sox fan, got to sing in front of 37,000 people.
Mike Mullins has dreamt his whole life of singing the national anthem before a game for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.
The 38-year-old fan, who has Down syndrome, has been campaigning to open a game at Fenway for the last four years.
Mullins has been singing the national anthem for minor league team the PawSox for the last decade, Metrowest Daily News reports.
Then last week, the day finally came: Mullins got to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in front of 37,000 people.
Singing with him are Dan Cloutier and Arva Ferguson, who often join Mullins at the Michael Lisnow Respite Center.
